On Monday, April 21, students from Mt. Tabor High School engaged in a unique “Lunch and Discuss” event organized by the Winston-Salem Police Department’s Community Engagement Team. Army recruiters Hollis and Strum candidly shared their personal experiences, illustrating the diverse prospects in military service. Their heartfelt narratives sparked interest, with students asking insightful questions about non-combat roles. Additionally, students expressed excitement about joining Work Out Wednesdays, a fitness initiative at Hanes Mall. This enriching event fostered mentorship, career exploration, and strengthened community bonds.
