This prestigious designation recognizes the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality, family-centered emergency care that meets rigorous national guidelines for pediatric health care. The designation illustrates readiness to deliver specialized emergency services to children and families in the region. By meeting these standards, MUSC Health Black River Medical Center now joins an elite group of health care facilities across South Carolina prioritizing child-focused emergency response capabilities and preparedness.
