A Black teenager, Elijah Green, found himself outmatched on the ground, overwhelmed by an aggressive mob hurling racial slurs. This shocking incident unfolded on Saturday, May 24, during a music event in Palmdale, California, and was captured on film.
The footage allegedly depicts 17-year-old Green being assaulted by a group of predominantly Latino and white peers, who chanted hateful phrases like “Get that N-word.” Disturbingly, no arrests were made, and the absence of a police report leaves the motives ambiguous.
Civil rights advocate Najee Ali, representing Green’s family, urged community members to confront racism. He advocated for Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman to press hate crime charges, asserting some attackers boasted online.
Green’s mother, Roneika, expressed heartbreak, declaring, “This is undeniably a hate crime. I demand justice.”
