The City League, a nonprofit focused on basketball, declared on May 3 that the Indianapolis Recorder, a historic Black publication, will be the media sponsor for 2025. Robert Shegog, President of Recorder Media Group, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating beyond basketball, emphasizing shared stories. Executive director Austin Taylor highlighted the Recorder’s legacy in covering local basketball adventures. From grassroots origins in 2013 to organized tournaments, the League has deepened community ties.
