The Lake Institute on Faith and Giving, an organization founded by the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University, and the Center for the Church and the Black Experience at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary have recently launched the Philanthropy and Black Church online library. The collection is part of an ongoing project between the two institutions to study the role of philanthropy within Black faith communities. The new Philanthropy and the Black Church digital collection aims to provide resources for Black church leaders and other philanthropic institutions to partner together on strategic initiatives. The library includes information on the history of philanthropy in Black churches and how collaboration with philanthropic organizations can advance giving, address social justice issues, and foster inclusive communities. The Philanthropy and the Black Church library can be accessed here.
