Micoud North MP Jeremiah Norbert has defended the significance of last week’s official opening of a $1.2 million jetty and washroom facility in his constituency. Norbert noted attempts to reduce the moment’s significance on his Facebook page. “These attempts are present because these individuals have never felt the plight of our fisherfolk, who cannot make a proper living and take care of their families because of the absence of the jetty. They don’t get the physical and financial pain of having to walk through the sargassum to get to their boats, only for individuals to not purchase the fish. But, who feels it knows it,” he declared.
