Offensive graffiti re-sprayed by vandal just day after removal

A spray paint wielding vandal has seemingly struck again in the exact same spot just one day after offensive graffiti they were responsible for was removed.
‘The Haribo Proposal’ – a piece of street art on the north abutment of the New American Bridge in Newbury town centre – was found to be defaced with a number of racist, homophobic and misogynistic phrases and expletive words last weekend.
This offensive vandalism has been attributed to a graffiti user known only as the ‘Hangman’.

The image of a schoolboy proposing to a schoolgirl with a Haribo ring which was created by the street artist ‘Hendog’ last November was covered with a rudimentary hanging stick man.
A penis was painted on the boy and the word hangman was also spray painted over the entire image.
The offensive phrases were painted on the brick wall next to the image, but all of this was removed on Monday lunchtime by West Berkshire Council workers.
However, the Hangman struck again just a day after he first defaced the popular local landmark.
He has retagged his moniker over The Haribo Proposal, added a smiley...
