The Office of Homeless Services (OHS) is set to deliver essential life-saving resources from Friday, July 25th to Monday, July 28th, operating between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Collaborating with the Office of Emergency Management, OHS will diligently monitor weather conditions while extending crucial assistance to safeguard the welfare of Nashville’s unhoused population amid this severe heat wave. From June 22 to July 24, OHS has effectively distributed: - 2,207 Bottled Water - 1,384 Bus Passes - 847 Cooling Towels - 696 Insect Repellents - 489 Sunscreens Extreme Heat Response Services will include free ride dispatches to cooling shelters and secure areas, available from Friday, July 25th to Monday, July 28th, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. To request a ride, call 615-844-3399.
