Olympian Shamier Little to Host Meet-and-Greet at Washington Park

Chicago’s own U.S. Olympian Shamier Little, a 2024 Gold and Silver medalist in track and field, will engage with fans in a special meet-and-greet event this Saturday, Oct. 5, at Washington Park (5531 S. King Dr.). The event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and all ages are welcome to attend. Little grew up participating in the Chicago Park District’s programs. She first took to the track at just five years old, competing in the Park District’s “Little Feet Track & Field” competition. A graduate of Lindblom High School, the accomplished athlete has consistently trained to reach the pinnacle of her sport: the Olympics. The meet-and-greet offers attendees a unique opportunity to hear directly from Little as she shares insights about her journey from Chicago’s parks to the global stage. Whether you’re a young aspiring athlete or a long-time fan, this event promises inspiration and celebration of local talent.
