Over 1.2 Tons Of Cocaine Seized Off Martinique

The French surveillance vessel Germinal recently seized over 1.2 tons of cocaine from a boat off the coast of Martinique.
According to the Forces Armées Aux Antilles Facebook page, the seizure occurred between July 17 and 18.
“When boarding the sailboat, the Navy’s inspection team noticed the presence of suspicious bales that tested positive for cocaine,” the Facebook post disclosed.
It did not mention any arrests.
Since the beginning of the year, the French armed forces in the Antilles have seized more than 17 tons of cocaine.
