The 2025 Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Schools’ Under-19 50-Over Boys’ Cricket Tournament bowled off on Tuesday. Patricia D James Secondary School (PDJSS) earned a solid victory over Castries Comprehensive Secondary School (CCSS) at the Gros Islet Playing Field. The La Clery boys won a thriller by three wickets, thanks to the exploits of Kerdel Nelson and Jervon Fevrier.  In a game reduced to 35 overs a side, Nelson and Fevrier shared seven wickets for PDJSS, as they dismissed their Vide Boutielle rivals for 78 in 19.4 overs. With a bowling attack also featuring Under-15 national player Harry Monzie, PDJSS got 4-23 from 15-year-old Grande Riviere, Gros Islet native Nelson, a left-arm spinner, and 3-12 from Fevrier. Monzie and Sergio Sydney each struck once. Top-scoring for CCSS was another national Under-15 player, Daniel Lorde, with 11.  In reply, PDJSS held their nerve and got over the line, finishing on 80-7 in  13.4 overs. Fevrier, 16 years old, played an important knock. He was 20 not out and hit the winning runs, whilst Nickyah Thomas added 10.  Daniel Lorde took three wickets, and Kymani Calvin two.
