The Steel City Yellow Jackets of the American Basketball Association (ABA) are currently enjoying their 11th season, and they’ve kicked off this year with an impressive 3-0 record. Coach Ace Pippen led the team to a decisive victory against the Rochester Royal Ballers, winning 157-107. Previously, they triumphed over the West Virginia Highflyers, with Dylon Cormier scoring a remarkable 67 points alongside “Agent Zero” Kenny Holmes' 63 points. This weekend, the 2022 National Champions will face off against the Chicago Fury and the Central Pennsylvania Kings at A Giving Heart in Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood. Meanwhile, the Western Pennsylvania Wolverines, established in 2023, also started their season strong, defeating the Highflyers 138-97. While both teams harbor distinct aspirations within the ABA and the "Next Level" scouting league, their competitive spirit and player talent make them worthy of recognition this season.
