Police Charge New Jersey Woman Who Purchased Knives At Marshalls Then Allegedly Used Them To Attack A Customer

A New Jersey woman currently awaits trial after allegedly stabbing a customer in a Marshalls parking lot with a kitchen knife during a heated confrontation.Amber Thompson, 25, faces charges stemming from the October 11 incident at a Hudson County Marshalls store. Authorities report that the altercation began when Thompson engaged in a dispute with another shopper over the pace of the checkout line, while she was buying a set of kitchen knives.Following the argument, the other customer completed her purchase and exited the store with her family. Thompson, after acquiring the knife set, trailed the woman to the parking lot, where she allegedly brandished a knife and stabbed her multiple times.Law enforcement discovered the victim in a state of distress with several cuts to her torso, but her injuries were determined to be superficial. Thompson was located in the store's bathroom near the knife, subsequently arrested for multiple offenses, including second-degree aggravated assault.
