Retired NHL enforcer Nick Tarnask recently found himself at the center of a dramatic altercation on a golf course, which turned violent and has since caught fire on social media. The confrontation began with an intense argument that quickly escalated into a physical brawl, culminating in Tarnask throwing the unidentified man into a nearby lake.
Despite the incident gaining considerable attention, it appears that the 40-year-old youth coach will not face repercussions. Royal Canadian Mounted Police Corporal Troy Savinkoff noted that no charges were brought forth, stating, “Nobody came forward to us alleging an assault,” leading to the closure of their investigation.
Tarnasky’s team, Red Deer Minor Hockey, acknowledged the viral video and confirmed an internal review. The encounter took place at Alberta Springs Golf Resort, where video evidence displayed Tarnasky’s irritation towards a slower group before the fight ensued. Remarkably, the man emerged with only a minor black eye, later sharing a lighthearted selfie, proclaiming, “Just a tiny lil black eye.”
