Polius Achieves Stellar Triple Hat-Trick in CFU U14 Football Championship

Saint Lucia demonstrated strong performance at the Caribbean Football Union Under-14 Girls’ Challenge held in Trinidad & Tobago, securing victories in two of their four matches. Forward Kayla Polius emerged as a standout player, achieving three consecutive hat-tricks, which propelled her to the top scorer position in League C with a total of 10 goals. Finishing third in their group, Saint Lucia recorded two wins and two losses, including a narrow 4-3 defeat against Dominica, where Polius’s hat-trick earned her the player of the match accolade. Despite a rocky start with a 7-1 loss to the United States Virgin Islands, in which Polius netted a penalty, the team faced missed opportunities. Polius shone against Dominica, scoring all three goals in the first half before Dominica ultimately triumphed. In subsequent matches, she continued to impress, scoring multiple goals against Bonaire and St Kitts & Nevis, showcasing her exceptional skills and contributing significantly to her team’s performance overall.
