The Capitol was buzzing May 15 with conversations about mental health as Mental Health America of California held its 10th annual Mental Health Matters Day. The event brings together mental health advocates, organizations, and community members for a day of education, storytelling, and action.
Mental Health America of California has long advocated for mental health awareness, emphasizing the importance of collective action to improve mental health services and reduce societal stigma.

This year’s theme, “A Decade of Storytelling: Shining Light on Behavioral Health,” highlighted the power of personal narratives in the ongoing battle against mental health stigma.
