The Winston-Salem Chronicle has announced that Professor Larry Little, J.D., a retired political science educator from Winston-Salem State University, will be the keynote speaker for the 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast. A prominent figure in the Winston-Salem community, Little's journey has been marked by steadfast dedication to justice, education, and civic participation. As a founding member of the Black Panther Party chapter in Winston-Salem and a former City Council member, he has tirelessly confronted inequitable systems and empowered citizens to engage in democracy.As we approach the 60th anniversary of Dr. King’s celebrated vision, the nation remains in pursuit of true justice. The theme, “The Dream Demands More,” calls attendees to reflect on how King’s ideals influence the current quest for human rights.
