A public memorial will be held this Sunday for Karen Yarbrough, the first woman and African-American to serve as Cook County Clerk.&
Yarbrough passed away on Sunday, April 7 from an undisclosed illness.&
Her service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday (April14) at the Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago.&
Gov. JB Pritzker and Sens. Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth are scheduled to speak.
On Friday, a visitation for Yarbrough was held at Grace Central Church in Westchester.&
