(The Dallas Examiner) – South Oak Cliff recently opened an addition to its ongoing revitalization with the expansion of the facilities for The DEC Network @ RedBird, a nonprofit organization that provides resources and opportunities for entrepreneurs.
The DEC moved its operations from a 7,500 square foot building to a brand new 20,000 square foot facility located at The Shops at RedBird, providing more office and event spaces for business owners. The $2.4 million expansion was made possible by donations from charities including Texas Capital Bank, The Hirsch Foundation and the T.D. Jakes Foundation.
Entrepreneurs who wish to take part in the programs provided can choose from a range of options from virtual membership to a dedicated office with 24-hour access. The building includes a co-working area made up of traditional office style spaces, open workspaces where entrepreneurs can collaborate, two podcasting rooms, conference rooms, a kitchen and dining area and event rooms.
Additionally, it offers cohorts, lunch and learn sessions, and mentor/mentee opportunities for its members. Moreover, the Capital Access Resource Center sets itself apart from other co-working spaces.
