Transforming Learning Spaces: The Bold School Reconstruction Project in Saint Lucia

The Government of Saint Lucia is launching an extensive initiative to enhance school facilities across the nation, prioritizing accessibility for students with disabilities, climate adaptability, and energy sustainability. Backed by a US$6 million loan from Afreximbank, the program targets 22 schools, especially those in dire condition. Minister Shawn Edward states the goal is to foster a "safe and supportive learning environment" for every student. Noteworthy projects involve new constructions at various schools, with three slated for completion by November, guided by a comprehensive needs assessment.
