‘Rock Star’ Charged With Murder In Barre Denis Fatal Shooting

On Sunday, February 25, 2024, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Castries launched a probe into a shooting which claimed the life twenty-eight-year-old (28) Yannick Charles at Barre Denis, Castries. Following this incident, thirty-year-old (30) Delon Charles alias “Rock Star” a resident of Barre Denis, Castries, surrendered himself into custody in relation to this investigation. He was arrested on suspicion for the offence of murder. On Friday, March 1, 2024, Delon Charles was charged for the offences of Wounding, Discharging Firearm in a Public Place and the Murder of Yannick Charles. Delon Charles was escorted to the First District Court in Castries for bail and was subsequently remanded into custody.
