The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that Saint Lucia successfully hosts matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The assurance came from Deputy Police Commissioner Ronald Phillip.
Phillip reiterated that the police force is fully prepared, with an operational plan in place and officers ready to implement it.
“I could assure the public that the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is going to do all in its power to ensure that cricket world cup is successful,” the Deputy Police Commissioner stated.
Saint Lucia will host six ICC T20 World Cup matches from June 15 -24 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.
Just recently, Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, responsible for National Security, disclosed that Saint Lucia and other Caribbean host countries for the Men’s T20 World Cup are taking all necessary measures to ensure the event’s safety and security.
“Like a good jazz, we expect good cricket,” Pierre told reporters, referencing Saint Lucia’s successful hosting of its acclaimed Jazz and Arts festival from April 30 to May 12.
