Move over Beyoncé, because there’s a new record-breaker in the Carter family! Rumi Carter, at the tender age of 6 years and 9 months, has officially become the youngest-charting female artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.
Rumi’s debut on the charts came through her cameo on her mom’s track, “Protector,” a standout hit from Beyoncé’s album “Cowboy Carter.”

“Protector” debuted impressively at No. 42 on the Hot 100 chart, amassing 11.3 million U.S. streams in its first week.
The song not only made waves on the Hot 100, but also soared to the top spot on the Billboard 200, as well as on the Top Country Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts.
Beyoncé herself carved out a historic moment by becoming the first Black woman to dominate the Top Country Albums chart.
