On Sunday, 24 high school students from 15 local institutions were celebrated at the Annual Black Achievers Creating Change Celebration, organized by the Sacramento Chapter of Links Inc. The group comprised 17 seniors and seven juniors—16 females and eight males—who exemplified the night’s themes of leadership, excellence, and transformation. Dr. Teresa Aldredge, the chapter's president, highlighted the organization's commitment, noting, “We have 35 active and 18 alumni members dedicated to instigating positive community impact.” The Black Achievers Creating Change (BACC) program addresses pivotal youth challenges like educational inequity and civic disconnection through mentoring and crucial life skills.
