Saint Lucia has been honored with the prestigious Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) Destination Resilience Award.  The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) announced the accolade, saying it recognises the island’s ‘exemplary leadership, innovative strategies, and collaborative efforts by both public and private sector stakeholders to advance sustainability in tourism.”  On Monday, Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA) President Paul Collymore and Senior Sales Manager for North America Richard Moss received the award in Jamaica. Jamaica is hosting the May 19-23, 2024, CHTA Caribbean Travel Marketplace.  Senator Guibion Ferdinand, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, key SLTA officials, and 28 local industry partners are in attendance. According to the SLTA, their participation underscores Saint Lucia’s commitment to strengthening its tourism sector and forging strategic partnerships.  “This diverse group of stakeholders will showcase the island’s unique offerings, engage in networking opportunities, and explore potential collaborations to enhance Saint Lucia’s tourism industry,” the SLTA said.   The article Saint Captures Prestigious CHTA Award is from St. Lucia Times.
