Seated front row alongside notable figures like Emma Roberts, Tessa Thompson, Mindy Kaling, and Naomi Watts, Ciara and Alba captured moments from the event in their Instagram Stories. The two appeared cheerful as they posed for an "Usie". However, an unexpected encounter on the red carpet sparked speculation regarding any possible tensions between them. As they approached the photo backdrop, footage from French magazine Gala revealed an apparent disconnect: while Ciara extended her arm towards Alba, the latter initially seemed unaware, adjusting her hair and looking away. Eventually, Alba turned and posed closely with Ciara, both smiling widely. Nevertheless, observers noted potential discord, with some fans claiming Alba exhibited "mean girl energy." In contrast, Alba's supporters suggested she was merely gathering herself before posing. Outside of the fashion scene, they later joined forces to support Baby2Baby’s initiatives.
