The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) has announced an increased cargo volume at the Castries seaport, causing greater traffic at the facility.
As a result, SLASPA disclosed that there have been delays in operations and inconveniences for importers who use Shed 6.
“Currently, SLASPA is sourcing an alternative storage facility to effectively manage this cargo backlog,” an Authority release disclosed.
“As we work toward achieving this, we urge all customers to utilize SLASPA’s online Appointment System at https://bookings.slaspa.com/landing-page,” the release stated.
SLASPA expressed appreciation for customer support during this period.
It also said the Authority was working assiduously to resolve the issue and taking remedial actions to expedite the process.
In addition, SLASPA said it is steadfast in its commitment to improving its services and will continue to provide updates as they become available.
