SOL Saint Lucia is partnering with its employees to give back meaningfully to the community’s most vulnerable individuals. Through the Parkland Pledge Initiative, staff members of SOL, a division of Parkland Fuel, received a specified amount of money via cheque to donate to charities of their preference. During an official handover event at the SOL Headquarters in Cul De Sac on Thursday, nearly EC$50,000 was distributed to support this generous effort. Avery Mascoll, General Manager for SOL Saint Lucia and Dominica, emphasized that this innovative strategy allows staff-driven corporate social responsibility rather than being imposed by the company.“Our employees select the organizations, and we facilitate that process,” Mascoll stated. “We aim to empower employees to engage with causes they care about.” Benefiting organizations include the Saint Lucia Blind Welfare Association, Dunnator School, Holy Family Children’s Home, and Saint Lucia Cancer Society. This initiative assures funds are directed towards reputable organizations that positively impact the community.
