Class of ’67 Reunion Committee
Classmates from the once prominent elementary school established in 1958 in the Lower 9th Ward with grades kindergarten through 8th came from places near and far to have a good time on July 12th, 13th and 14th, 2024. Some classmates had not seen one another for over 57 years.
Over the weekend, more than 40 classmates and significant others enjoyed a wonderful Meet and Greet on Friday, a Deluxe Private Dinner on Saturday, a spirit filled Mass at St. David’s Catholic Church on Sunday followed by a relaxing afternoon Brunch. In a spirit of appreciation and community support, the Classmates donated $1540 to St David’s Catholic Church.
The Class of ’67 also has the distinction of being the Inaugural Kindergarten Class with most students spending nine years together before enrolling in many of the well-respected predominantly Black private and public high schools. The 1967 Class also spearheaded integration at several of the Catholic private high schools in the New Orleans area.
We are truly a “Band of Brothers and Sisters!”
