Stylist Fired After Attempting to Cut Child’s Braids Over Late Fee; Family Demands Charges

A hairstylist from Louisiana attempted to cut off an 11-year-old girl’s braids after the child's mother declined to pay a late fee. Conchota Singleton explained on Facebook how the situation escalated when her daughter and she arrived 10 minutes late. Despite already paying for the style, the stylist reacted violently. Footage captured the mother intervening as the stylist brandished scissors. Although the girl’s braids remained intact, her mother was injured. Singleton plans to escalate the matter legally, asserting that the stylist's actions were unacceptable. Draft Picks Barbershop has since apologized and terminated the stylist.
