Virginia Locals Allegedly Used N-Word Before Forcing Black Couple Off the Road

A seemingly ordinary roadside stop for two Black residents of Richmond, Virginia, escalated into a harrowing racially charged incident that left one hospitalized with severe injuries. On the evening of July 20, Amylah Majors and her wife, Jamaria Gaskins, were traveling on Partlow Road when they encountered debris. While assessing the situation, they were confronted by a man from a nearby residence who they mistakenly thought was offering help. Instead, he and two other white individuals unleashed a torrent of racial slurs and threats. The assailants pursued the couple in vehicles, at one point aiming a gun at Majors. In the ensuing chaos, she lost control of their car, resulting in an accident that left her with significant injuries, including a fractured spine. Gaskins suffered minor injuries but both women now confront trauma from the attack.
