Teens Slay Is Opening The Door For Young Girls

Situated within a newly revamped, pink-themed space at the Mendenhall Center, around 30 enthusiastic young girls, aged 9 to 17, adorned in lively hues, are diving into the realm of hairstyling, braiding, and related artistry. This group represents the inaugural class of Teens Slay University, which officially opened its doors on August 9. Founded by Memphis entrepreneur Donna Carol, this groundbreaking initiative aims to empower young women through hair design. The program emphasizes not only the mastery of practical hairstyling techniques but also enhancing confidence and self-expression among participants.
