Brooklyn Nets Welcome Terance Mann: A Game-Changing Acquisition

In a significant three-team deal reported by Shams Charania of ESPN, the Atlanta Hawks have traded Terance Mann and the No. 22 pick to the Brooklyn Nets, while sending Georges Niang and a second-round selection to the Boston Celtics. In return, the Hawks received Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick from Atlanta.
To assist the Celtics in navigating the salary cap’s second apron, Mann, who was acquired by the Hawks from the Clippers earlier this year, is moving to the Nets as part of this landmark exchange.
Despite experiencing a downturn during the 2024–25 season, Mann remained a dependable contributor, averaging 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over 21.1 minutes across 67 games, shooting an impressive 49.6 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from beyond the arc. As the offseason unfolds, Mann may find himself in a larger role with Brooklyn.
