Teresa Hardee Steps Up as President of Bennett College in North Carolina: A New Era Begins

Teresa Hardee has recently taken on the position of interim president at Bennett College, a prominent historically Black liberal arts institution for women located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Currently, the college serves around 200 female undergraduates, with 53 percent identifying as Black. Dr. Hardee brings more than two decades of leadership expertise to this pivotal role, possessing a robust background in enrollment management, financial affairs, and operational administration within HBCUs. Prior to this appointment, she was the executive vice president and chief operating officer at Claflin University in South Carolina. Her experience also includes serving as the chief financial officer at Delaware State University and Florida A&M University. “I am truly honored to serve Bennett College at such a pivotal time,” stated Dr. Hardee. “Bennett’s legacy is unmatched, and its future holds even greater promise. Together with the Bennett community, I am committed to building on its strengths and charting a bold path forward.”
