A Texas individual harboring white supremacist and Nazi beliefs was taken into custody on felony accusations of plotting a catastrophic, racially motivated assault involving explosives aimed at Black and Jewish communities. The 39-year-old Nathan James Henderson was apprehended on July 12 after the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office acted on a credible tip regarding threats of mass violence and the possession of illegal explosive materials.Investigators unearthed a cache of weapons during a police raid, initially charging him with possession of explosive components after discovering chemical materials for bomb-making at his residence. The search also revealed several firearms, ammunition, extremist literature, outlines for public venue attacks, and noteworthy bomb-making components, including 24 grenades and a homemade remote detonator.Following a concerning visit from his cousin, who reported Henderson’s alarming threats against various groups, authorities also recovered correspondence with other notorious White supremacists. Currently, Henderson is facing multiple charges and made history as the first individual in Bexar County to be charged with terrorism pursuant to a recently enacted Texas law.
