A Black disabled veteran has initiated a $5 million lawsuit against Buffalo Wild Wings, asserting that after placing a takeout order at one of their Washington, D.C. locations, he discovered a racial slur on his receipt. In the civil rights complaint obtained by The Independent, Marc Loman recounts a visit with his wife to a Woodbridge, Virginia Buffalo Wild Wings in November 2024. After dining inside, their leftover potato wedges were boxed for takeout. Upon returning home, they were appalled to see the derogatory term “n*gs,” a shortened form of the racial slur, on both their receipt and food container. Natasha Loman subsequently shared her outrage on TikTok and left a critical one-star review on Yelp, expressing her disbelief regarding the manager’s handling of the takeout order.Following the couple's complaint to corporate, they were informed that the kitchen manager had intentionally affixed the slur to their order, resulting in the employee's termination. The lawsuit highlights the incident's severe emotional impact, particularly for Marc Loman, who experienced distress stemming from past racial abuse. The Lomans are pursuing damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress against both Buffalo Wild Wings and its parent company, Blazin’ Wings, Inc.
