Fast forward over fifty years, and the Trump administration's attempts to dismantle this agency, which has dwindled its workforce from 23 dedicated employees to merely two political appointees, echoes a troubling reality.The MBDA, far from being outdated, remains the only federal entity dedicated to aiding entrepreneurs historically excluded from vital financial resources and contracting opportunities. Its systematic reduction is not merely a bureaucratic failure but an economic dilemma. At its zenith, MBDA significantly bolstered numerous minority business enterprises (MBEs), further highlighting the swift decline of support for these essential contributors to America's economy.
