A Second Chicago Mother Describes Terrifying Moments As Her Child Was Allegedly Ambushed By The Same Kids

A group of children accused of assaulting a Chicago mother and her 9-year-old son outside a school are also reportedly linked to another violent incident involving a man with autism. Carolyn Sanford, a resident of the same area, claims her 21-year-old son, who has autism, has faced relentless bullying from these kids, highlighted in a now-famous video of the assault on Corshawnda Hatter and her son. The attack on her son occurred over the summer near Chicago housing projects in South Deering. Sanford recounted how the assailants left her son unconscious on the ground for thirty minutes.“I can’t forget; my head was pounding,” Brown explained. He described leaving a store when he was surrounded and attacked. Moreover, a child recorded the incident and shared it with Sanford's mother.Sanford has also reported harassment to the school administration without resolution, saying these issues have persisted for some time.
