State prosecutors in Florida have opted not to file charges against Tyler Chambers, a man who expressed violent fantasies towards a Black child on social media after she approached his home to sell toys and candy, according to statements from her mother, Beyond Shabazz.
Chambers gained notoriety when he shared an image from his doorbell camera featuring Shabazz's 9-year-old daughter, accompanied by a threatening caption. His post went viral, inciting intense criticism for its violent threats and underlying racism. After facing backlash, Chambers deleted the post and deactivated his social media account, claiming the girl was part of a “decoy” scheme for a break-in without providing evidence.
Shabazz expressed frustration over the prosecutors' decision, contending they sought reasons to absolve Chambers and dismiss the case. She plans to pursue legal action against him. Following doxxing incidents, he temporarily relocated but has since returned home. Shabazz now intends to leave the area to protect her children from racism.
