Percy Mack has ascended from his role as acting chair to the permanent chair of the educational leadership department at South Carolina State University. Prior to his tenure at South Carolina State, he dedicated 25 years to K-12 administration, including superintendency roles in districts throughout Ohio and South Carolina. Dr. Mack, a Savannah State College alum, furthered his education by obtaining a master’s degree in education from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. from Georgia State University. Meanwhile, Ronett Jacobs has advanced to associate professor of education at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since joining the faculty in 2018, she has spearheaded the Thea Bowman Institute for Excellence and Leadership, emphasizing innovative, student-centered approaches and fostering teacher development to enhance student achievement.
