Charlie Woods has achieved a notable distinction alongside his father, Tiger Woods. On Wednesday, the American Junior Golf Association revealed that Charlie, a junior at The Benjamin School in South Florida, has earned a spot on the first team All-America list. He is one of 12 boys selected by the AJGA for this prestigious honor. Meanwhile, Miles Russell, a 17-year-old alternate from the Walker Cup this summer, was recognized as player of the year for the second consecutive time. This past May, Woods captured his inaugural significant title at the Team TaylorMade Invitational. Tiger Woods previously garnered the AJGA player of the year accolades in 1991 and 1992. The second team featured Mason Howell, a U.S. Amateur champion who participated in the Walker Cup, and Cameron Kuchar, Matt Kuchar’s son heading to TCU. In the girls’ division, Canadian Aphrodite Deng, residing in New Jersey, achieved player of the year after winning the U.S. Girls Junior and two major AJGA events. The selections were made based on the Rolex AJGA Rankings as of October 14.
