There’s a profound yearning for the Word of God that often propels one towards diverse spiritual experiences—a phenomenon friends referenced as “church hopping.” In recent weeks, I've visited numerous churches, discovering ministers and associate pastors who share compelling messages. From Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship to Trinity Valley Missionary Baptist, and from Friendship West Baptist Church to Warren United Methodist, our region boasts a variety of worship spaces led by remarkably gifted individuals. Each congregation is distinct, attracting devoted followers. I consider myself fortunate; spiritual hunger can be fulfilled any Sunday. Initially, I dismissed the pulpit as a platform for hypocrisy, which kept me away from church, allowing my skepticism to distance me from God. Yet, once I engaged with the Word, my perspective shifted. I began to see God’s blessings manifest everywhere, illuminated by the understanding that humility and grace define true faith. Now, I rejoice in being part of this vibrant community.
