Troy Ave has been released from prison after serving less than a year behind bars for his involvement in a 2016 shooting.
The Brooklyn rapper (real name Roland Collins) celebrated his newfound freedom on Monday (August 26), posting a picture of himself outside Rikers Island holding a bag of cash in front of a red Lamborghini with the caption: “Ya boi home!”

A separate clip showed Troy being gifted with the super car and stacks of cash upon his release from prison, with Ave saying the first place he wanted to head to was the airport.

The BSB Records boss was only sent to prison in February after he and podcaster Taxstone got into a fight at a T.I. concert in New York in 2016, resulting in a shooting that killed Troy’s bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter.
Troy himself also sustained gunshot injuries during the scuffle, along with two bystanders.

Taxstone, who is alleged to have been the gunman, was sentenced to 35 years in prison while Troy Ave was handed a reduced one-year stint in prison.
