Since his inauguration, President Donald Trump has consistently emphasized the significance of financial investments in the U.S., claiming credit for their influx. He initially proclaimed $3 trillion in investments, escalating the figure to over $10 trillion just months later. However, the actual source of these lofty totals remains uncertain. As of May 19, the White House indicated a total of approximately $6 trillion. Trump's assertions began on January 21, with claims of nearly $3 trillion, which diverged from official White House releases. By April's end, he reported figures soaring to $8 trillion. Nevertheless, economic experts caution that such announced investments may not materialize. Adam Hersh of the Economic Policy Institute remarked, “Until they’re in the ground, it’s just hot air.”
