Two Black Men Appointed to Administrative Roles

Ernest Pierre-Louis was promoted to associate director of the Black Male Initiative and financial operations at the City University of New York. He has been serving as an executive assistant to the vice president of student affairs. Pierre-Louis is a graduate of the City College of New York, where he majored in psychology. He holds a master of public administration degree from Capella University. Kevin D. Howell has been named the chief external affairs officer for the University of North Carolina Health and the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Howell most recently served as the vice chancellor for external affairs, partnerships, and economic development at North Carolina State University. He started with North Carolina State University as assistant to the chancellor for external affairs, and later moved into the role of vice president for external affairs. Howell earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from North Carolina State University and his juris doctorate from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
