UNC Football News: Quarterback Ryan Browne Joins Transfer Portal Wave

Defensive tackle Beau Atkinson and quarterback Ryan Browne from North Carolina are both entering the transfer portal. Atkinson recorded 54 tackles and topped the Tar Heels with 7.5 sacks last season. Meanwhile, Browne's exit aligns with UNC's pursuit of South Alabama's Gio Lopez, who achieved 2,559 passing yards and 25 touchdowns. Additionally, former five-star offensive tackle Zach Rice, linebackers Cade and Crews Law, and defensive back Zion Ferguson are also in the portal. Notably, linebacker Mikai Gbayor has transferred to UNC after playing at Nebraska.
