Vic Nation Wins Youth Star Competition at Music Fest 2024

A new Youth Star was crowned and walked away with $15,000 when the 21st edition of Music Fest Ste Lisi, formerly Youth Fest, took place in Vieux Fort on Sunday. Vic Nation emerged victorious from a field of 11 contestants in the Youth Star Competition which highlighted young emerging Saint Lucian artistes. Al the Artiste and Sir MK tied for second place. The other competitors were Mr. H, M2K, Bronxx & Matta, Nisha f/Sir MK, Travo the Chemist, D West, Chad and Richie. The contestants performed original material reflecting a range of genres including Soca, Reggae and R&B, with some of them going the extra mile by incorporating props and creative presentations. Vic Nation not only commanded the stage during his performance but the judges’ attention with his song Bacchanal Junkie.  Despite the small crowd, those in attendance seemed to enjoy the acts. The second half of Music Fest was dedicated to a stellar cast of Saint Lucian entertainers who made their mark in 2024. These included Imran Nerdy as well as the 2024 Groovy Monarch, Sly, and the Road March King and Soca Monarch, Ricky T.
