Two individuals implicated in a recent drug operation in Vieux Fort have been granted bail. Andrina Epiphane and Shaquille Walker appeared in the Second District Court on Monday, each receiving bail set at $50,000, payable either in cash or via an acceptable surety. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) provided a case update but did not disclose additional bail conditions. The duo was arrested last week during a meticulously coordinated effort by the RSLPF’s Gangs, Narcotics, and Firearms Unit, which intercepted a suspicious package at the port later found in Vieux Fort. The contents, concealed within everyday items, included four kilograms of compressed cannabis and two kilograms of cannabis resin. Both individuals face multiple charges, including possession and intent to supply cannabis and cannabis resin, as well as importation of controlled substances. Moreover, the RSLPF confirmed an ongoing financial investigation in collaboration with the Financial Intelligence Authority to explore potential money laundering and asset confiscation related to the case.
