Last weekend, 6th April 2024 all roads led to Gulu at Elephante Commons for the youth traditional and innovative and impactful result oriented high-level dance initiative.The legend of the spear and the bead, Rooted in the oral tradition of Wang Lei, the production masterfully conveyed the tale of the separation of Luo ancestral brothers Gipir and Labongo, illustrating how their divergent paths shaped the cultural landscape of various sub-ethnic groups. Choreographed by Ojom Martin Beep and Odoch Kedwine, the dance sequences were both visually stunning and emotionally resonant, effectively capturing the essence of the legend. The dramaturgy by Lilian Nabaggala Maximillian provided a solid framework for the narrative, allowing the audience to connect with the characters and their journey. The performers, including; Otim Brian Happy, Ocaya Daniel, Okot Janani, Egesa Junior, Anzo Benard, Ocan Ivan, and Okello Danny, delivered powerful and evocative portrayals, bringing the story to life with their exceptional talent and dedication.
