Waymaker Summit Empowers Black Men for Justice and Innovation

Held at Chicago’s iconic Willis Tower, the WayMaker Men’s Summit brought together influential leaders, activists, and young men for two days of transformative discussions, workshops, and community-building (Photo Credit: Lanette Warbington).& The WayMaker Men’s Summit, held on Sept. 6 and 7 at the iconic Willis Tower in Chicago, was a transformative gathering for Black men that celebrated innovation, community empowerment and the pursuit of social justice.& The event showcased a diverse coalition of leaders, activists and influencers, all united in their commitment to fostering change and uplifting marginalized voices.& The Teen Summit on Day 2 provided a safe and empowering space for the one thousand young men in attendance.& Attendees included prominent figures like Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Jesse Jackson, Sr., Nick Cannon, Kyrie Irving, and authors like Ijeoma Oluo, alongside local entrepreneurs and grassroots organizers.& The conference was not just an assembly of ideas but a vibrant platform for dialogue, featuring inspiring keynote speeches, panel discussions and workshops to equip participants with the tools to effect change in their communities.& Grooming services were offered exclusively for all male participants, featuring facials, massages, manicures and haircuts.
